The Opportunity:DOT is seeking an experienced and dynamic marketing professional to join our team as Senior Manager of Digital Marketing. This is a full-time, permanent position with flexible working arrangements and comprehensive benefits. Reporting to the Senior Director, International Partnerships, this hands-on position will be responsible for the resourcing and implementation of DOT digital marketing programs and campaigns, with strong emphasis on directly contributing to organization resource mobilization objectives. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with excellent people and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced, start-up environment. You should be self-directed, team-oriented, and able to work with a diversity of internal and external stakeholders to formulate strategy and achieve DOT’s digital marketing objectives. You understand the diverse needs of our multicultural audiences and are able to adapt digital engagements to meet those needs. Key Responsibilities: Formulate and Develop DOT’s Digital Marketing strategy:Design and Manage DOT’s corporate web presence; Lead the resourcing and implementation of digital marketing activities and campaigns;Strategically link digital marketing strategy to fund-raising and impact efforts Track and report on performance metrics tied to organization resource mobilization objectives; Oversight and management of the Communications function in the organization:Work with Ottawa (HQ) and country teams to ensure alignment with the digital and communications strategy in all aspects of partnership development, DOT’s programs and all public-facing materials and initiatives;Manage communications and ICT teams and functions within DOT HQ;Manage and develop/coach Communication and Digital Engagement staff and consultants;Develop the capacity of DOT local country teams (Africa, Middle East) in communications and digital engagement, with performance metrics tied to local resource mobilization objectives; Best Practices and up to date research in digital marketing:Maintain up-to-date awareness and knowledge of current research and best practice in digital engagement for diverse audiences/markets (multicultural, international);Coordinate the dissemination and sharing of best practices related to digital engagement design and implementation across the DOT network. Qualifications: 5+ years’ experience developing strategic approaches to digital marketing activities , and fund-raising campaigns, ideally in the international development space;Experience implementing high-level marketing activities and campaigns for services and products that serve diverse audiences/markets Proven experience in the design, implementation, and impact measurement of successful social and digital media campaigns, including crowdsourcing;Undergraduate degree in a related field, such as Marketing or Communications;5+ years’ management experience;Excellent written and oral English communication skills;Advanced skills and experience with all digital media tools, platforms and related metrics;Has a clear understanding of the relationship and importance of the alignment of marketing strategy/activities to corporate objectives and revenue/resource requirements/targets;Has the ability to work with M&E, Operations, Program Development and Finance executives to translate corporate objectives into practical marketing strategy/activities/campaigns;Experience in the implementation of activities through diverse media (digital and non digital) Working familiarity with the Google Suite toolset;Experience working both independently and in a diverse team environment;Operates from stated objectives and formulates plans, activities and resources that deliver results.
