This position serves as the “gatekeeper” for all data & reporting that supports: Sales & Marketing, Investments, Finance, Client Services and Regulatory Compliance. This includes (but is not limited to) calculating performance (total return and attribution), maintaining performance composites, reporting AUM, as well as supporting various Regulatory and Compliance requests (Form ADV, 13F, NFA filings, etc.). Your responsibilities:Ensure data quality via various controls and data validations, proposing ongoing process improvementsCompile & Analyze performance and attribution reports, and effectively communicate results to senior management, client portfolio managers and portfolio managersCreate and maintain composites in accordance to established procedures and GIPS complianceReviewing and investigating monthly performance outliersPartner with Portfolio administration to remediate security and account level data issuesCompile and distribute Firm AUM, ADV and other regulatory reportingActively participate in the continuously improvement of the Performance & AUM Reporting workflow & processesActively participate in the implementation and maintenance of all performance measurement systemsAbility to provide performance explanations to the investment units in response to ad-hoc requestsSupporting the firm wide verification process through compiling requested supporting documentation Must have requirements to be successful in this role: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the financial services industryProven experience implementing efficient workflows, process improvements & controlsPrevious experience implementing data management, performance & attribution systemsAdvanced knowledge of Performance Reporting and industry best practices, including GIPSAdvanced knowledge of the reporting requirements across multiple distribution channels (’40 Act & Private Funds, Institutional SMA, Retail HNW)Solid working knowledge of U.S. and non-U.S. security types including equities, currency forwards, loans, bonds, interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, synthetic notes, OTC securities, futures, etc.Knowledge of data entities such as securities, pricing, position, transaction, indicesHigh attention to detail, and accuracy, within a high-volume work environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills in order to identify issues or unusual activitySelf-motivated with continuous process improvement mindsetTeam player, results-oriented and passion for excellenceEffective communication skills at all levels of the organizationFundamental love of performance reporting, investment data, data quality, processes and strategyAdvanced knowledge of external data vendors such as Bloomberg, IDC, Reuters, Rimes, Vestek, etc.Software experience preferred: (FactSet, StatPro, Eagle, Advent APX, Charles River, Markit EDM, Morningstar)Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Powerpoint and Visio requiredFieraOps #LI-Hybrid For positions available in Quebec that require fluency in French and English, please note thatbilingualism is required due to our global offices and clients.
