Role Description: A Security Analyst will support in the implementation and operation of security controls and monitoring services. They may also develop security policies or technical standards, conduct technical reviews, security risk and vulnerability assessments, and participate in security investigations and incident response activities. Responsibilities: Develop security policies, standards, guidelines or procedures Conduct security risk assessments Develop and maintain technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities Support the activities that provide security monitoring and incident response services Perform technical security assessments and design reviews Support the activities that provide security monitoring and incident response services Perform technical forensic investigations Generate forensic and incident reports Other duties as assigned Job Requirements:Skill requirements/qualifications: Experienced in ICT policy, standards, guideline or procedures development Experience with security control frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST Familiarity with provincial and federal privacy legislation Familiarity with risk management methodologies such ISO 31000 Strong understanding of information security architecture and controls Experience in providing security requirements for solution design Experience in translating business risk into security risk for the purpose of project planning and estimating Have a strong understand of the current Threat/Risk landscape for cloud and on premise solutions Experience writing Decision Requests related to IT Security for approval by business sponsors Experience with working on a project team Excellent analytical skills Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills Comfortable driving components of complex projects independently
