Manpower is currently seeking a Quality Inspector for a contract position with one of our clients.Details:* Schedule/hours: Mon – Fri 8 am to 5 pm (Start and finish time can be negotiated)* Duration: 4 – 6 months* Start date: ASAP* PPE: Steel toes* Any other information: * Pay 20 – 25 CAD/Hr. Key Qualifications:* Strong working knowledge of mechanical inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)* Ability to read and follow dimensional drawings and written instructions* Basic computer skills (MSWord and MSExcel)* Highly detail-oriented* Ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines* Experience working in a Team environment as a proactive and supportive team member* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Key Responsibilities:* Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting unacceptable materials from suppliers* Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records* Post-inspection material put-away to inventory and documentation filing and perform related ERP system work* Initiate the documentation process for inspection non-conformances using the established Non-Conformance Report (NCR)* Initiate the concession process for non-conforming material that is authorized for its use by Engineering department* Maintain a dynamic Inspection Sampling Plan based on statistical analysis * Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) for serial product and other required materials, documenting inspection outcomes and reporting results to Engineering and/or Purchasing departments* Manage the incoming inspection workload to provide inspection support to Engineering projects and mechanical assembly tasks to production in an efficient and timely manner* Support MSA by participating in gage R&R studies * Comply, maintain and improve the current QMS processes and job specific work instructions* Use productivity tools to report inspection processing time, manage workload and prioritize inspection according to production needs* Keep Inspection Area clean and tidy as per 5S methodology* Assist resolving supplier quality issues, participate in continuous improvement projects and quality related process improvementsNice to Have:* Experience working with CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machine)Conduct tests to determine quality of raw materials, bulk intermediate and finished products. May conduct stability sample tests. Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment. Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms. Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols.Please forward your resume to [email protected]
