This part time position is based out of Chilliwack, BC. Build on your education and experience as you:Provide diagnostic client assessment and brief, short-term individual interventions/group therapy, using a variety of interviewing, counselling, and assessment methodsFacilitate clients’ utilization of appropriate community services and rehabilitative programs (such as alcohol and drug treatment, vocational programs, MH&SUS Specialized Community Services Programs, Primary Care Centres, clubhouses, transition homes, community groups) Maintain client records and statistics, prepares reports, and completes forms as requiredAdvocate on behalf of clients and in support of families/natural supports to assist in access appropriate services related to housing, food security and incomeProvide education to clients, families/natural supports and staff and other agencies regarding community mental health and substance use resources, programs and issues.Participate in clinical research and program evaluation activities relevant to the needs of clients, families, Community Mental Health and Substance Use Services, Primary Care Network and the community, by providing information as requested.To join the organization we require:Master’s degree in Social Work or Clinical CounsellingTwo (2) years’ recent, related experience in a community or hospital psychiatry setting working with clients and families with, or affected by, mental illness and substance use disorders, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Eligible for registration or membership with applicable professional association or regulatory bodyValid BC Driver’s License and access to personal vehicle for business-related purposesIf this sounds like the ideal role for you, here are more reasons why you should apply:A career that offers you the opportunity to work in a fast growing and exciting organization with professionals who are excellent in their respective fields.An opportunity to make a difference every single day in the world of health care.Take the next step and apply so we can continue the conversation!Come work with dedicated health care providers who are enthusiastic and committed to provide quality healthcare to our clients/patients/residents.
