About the role Intact Prestige is committed to protecting every customer’s unique lifestyle, and we have created tailored insurance products that do just that. Intact Prestige celebrated its first anniversary last February. To meet the growing demand for insurance products in the high net worth market segment, the Underwriting team is looking for experienced Underwriters with an interest in assessing niche risks in partnership with our strong network of brokers. As an experienced Underwriter, your work will have a big impact on our Prestige – High Net Worth business unit. Your work will have a significant impact on our customers and broker partners. Robert-Bourassa), QuEbec (5700, Boul. des Galeries), Anjou or Saint-HyacintheHere are a few ways you’ll make a difference: Be customer-focused in everything you do and look for ways to improve the customer experience Develop and manage relationships with an assigned group of brokers to develop lasting and profitable relationships, which involve broker visits With a strong sales ability, develop profitable business relationships with brokers and identify opportunities to promote Intact’s Prestige insurance products and increase sales Attend insurance industry and marketing events; promote products and services Be responsible for underwriting complex risks, making sound business decisions that contribute to profitable growth, and negotiating terms with the brokers Determine and control risk acceptance, risk improvement and declination of Prestige policies for Quebec Region Accept, reject, endorse, renew or cancel contracts following Intact’s Prestige underwriting policies/procedures, applicable laws and regulations Review property appraisal reports and make recommendations Participate in large loss reviews Identify and recommend efficiencies and/or technology changes to improve business results and maintain competitiveness Work closely and collaborate with other internal departments Qualifications Completion of or significant progress toward achievement of a Certified Insurance Professional (CIP) designation 3+ years experience in personal lines underwriting is required Experience working with high net worth policies is an asset Strong sales focus and customer service skills with prior experience working with brokers Proficient in MS Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of Intact software Demonstrate efficiency and priority management skills to meet service standards Bilinguals French and English written and verbal skills Here are a few reasons why others have joined our team: An award-winning, inspiring workplace that supports its people and recognizes great work Stimulating, challenging projects and development opportunities to help you grow your skills and career A comprehensive financial rewards program that recognizes your success An extensive, flexible benefits package An industry leading Employee Share Purchase Plan where we match 50% of net shares purchased A $350 annual wellness account that promotes an active lifestyle Closing Statement We are an Equal Opportunity Employer At Intact, our value of Respect is founded on seeing diversity as a strength, being inclusive and fostering collaboration.
