We promote leaders at every level and support our people to follow their passion.What You’ll Do:To direct and supervise all meat staff to secure efficient and courteous customer serviceEnsure production is moved efficiently from the receiver to the meat cutter and then to the wrapperTo respond immediately to any customer inquiries, requests and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all timesTo maximize sales and gross profit, ensuring sales’ goals and budgets are metTo hire all part-time staff and train new employeesTo schedule all meat clerks ensuring the strict control of wage costsTo interpret and administer Company policy and ensure compliance with the union contractResponsible for maintaining the condition of all fresh counters, freezers and coolersTo ensure the safety and sanitation of the departmentWhat You’ll Need:Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evenings, night shifts, and weekendsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAccept responsibility for fresh meat productionThree to five years’ experience in the retail meat industryPrior management experience a definite assetGrade 12 Diploma with a Meat Cutter Apprenticeship CertificateExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsLoblaw is committed to sustainability by sourcing products with integrity and making a positive difference in the community.
