The opportunity : Our Vancouver team is looking for a Solution Champion who is energized by disruptive change and digital transformation to join KPMG Ignition at a Manager level ! KPMG Ignition is our innovation advisory offering support to various clients’ in exploring the art of the possible and build leading-edge solutions. We work collaboratively with our clients to develop new solutions. We utilize exponential technologies, human-centered design principles and business model innovations to unpack core business challenges and help clients seize opportunities in an era of rapid and disruptive change. Find out more about KPMG Ignition . #LI-Hybrid What you will doAs a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Participating in discovery sessions with senior level executives and KPMG leaders to define the clients’ specific needs and challenges; Leading the Ignition team in designing and delivering impactful client workshops; Shaping client opportunities based on needs defined in KPMG Ignition sessions; Engaging in ongoing training and professional development to build and refine skills in Design Thinking, business strategy and new venture development; Championing your own growth trajectory and learning interests to deepen your understanding of relevant trends, tech stacks and innovation strategies; Being an advocate and representative of KPMG Ignition within the KPMG network. Drive the planning, strategy, and growth of the Ignition offering in Vancouver and across KPMG Canada. During peak periods business needs may require working beyond regular work hours to fulfill the accountabilities required for your role/ project. What you bring to the roleWe will look to you to bring a blend of knowledge, training, and experience, including: Required skills and experience: Entrepreneurial orientation, including a desire to create new business and offerings; 5+ years of consulting experience in a strategic role with a reputable Professional Services, Consulting or Advisory Firms and/or other organizations (including start-ups); Strong experience with innovation methodologies and user-centric design principles; Structured problem-solving skills and logical thinking, as well as ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions; Demonstrated project leadership skills and the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and requests under tight timelines. Comfort operating in a cross functional organization setting and managing projects to success. Experience with workshop facilitation and application of creative storytelling to craft a compelling story that resonates with our client’s business needs; Ability to work independently and collaboratively to inspire confidence and deliver creative action on projects/deliverables; Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal, including effective storytelling, presentation, and facilitation skills with attention to detail; A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or equivalent education. Desired experience, certifications, and abilities: A Master of Business Administration, other post-graduate studies, or professional affiliations is preferred; Demonstrated data literacy including an understanding of data and analytics tools and disciplines (Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, etc.) is a nice to have; Design Thinking certification or professional training. You are aware of your areas of improvement and open to mentorship and professional development; You are team-oriented and thrive in working within a collaborative environment and bring a desire for – and orientation towards – team mentorship.
