With pan-Canadian activities and a presence in the U.S., the Group is an important player in numerous market segments.This role sits within Laurentian Bank, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.Reporting to the Vice President of Deposits & Unsecured Lending, the Lead, Product Pricing Management & Strategy acts as an expert in the development, execution and improvement of the Personal Bank’s pricing strategy. With a focus on deposits, but also looking across other money in and money out products, the successful incumbent would be responsible for driving Pricing strategies to optimize portfolio returns across Personal Banking. By deploying a balanced use of analytics, finance, competitive intelligence, regulatory considerations and strategic business objectives, this pricing function provides value added oversight to Personal Banking.ResponsibilitiesºDevelop pricing strategy and vision, including guard rails and models for effective management.ºLead pricing management and strategy across personal banking products to effectively manage margin, volume, widget and revenue targets.ºPartner with P&L owners, product SMEs, treasury and finance to facilitate efficient and effective pricing recommendations.ºEstablish product pricing governance to make pricing decisions based on evidence.ºIdentifying and implementing Division-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as required to assess the impact and effectiveness of new pricing and strategic initiativesºAssisting in conducting post-implementation reviews following major product/policy introductions to capture organizational learning and to continually improve pricing executionºStreamline pricing processes and meetings across Personal Banking distribution channels and productsºPosted ratesºDiscretionary rates (by advisor)ºImplement new pricing capabilities (i.e. automation, machine learning, tech) to increase pricing efficiency (speed) and effectiveness (margin maximization).ºDevelop consistent product business casing format to evaluate key initiatives.ºCentralized product role to establish product forecasts, targets and management to plan.ºMaintain a holistic framework to measure and report on product performance, capturing relevant and actionable insight. Package and communicate findings to key stakeholders. ºCoordinate product performance dashboards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize product performance dashboards and create alignment against business objectives. ºPartner with product, marketing and sales effectiveness to develop strategies and tactics that influence profitability, sales, and portfolio performance. ºSupport the development of business casing, product initiative and product deposit pricing. Keep abreast of changes in regulations in order to ensure that the department’s procedures, projects and practices evolve accordingly.ºHelp to analyze and evaluate new and existing products and tactics in terms of market potential, relevance, competitive differentiation, channel and alignment with business objectives.ºMaintaining a thorough understanding of global trends relating to Retail Products from a pricing, legal, regulatory & marketing perspectiveQualificationsºUniversity education in a relevant field and minimum 5 years of experience in Product or Finance ºExcellent knowledge of the banking industry and trends.ºExperience with banking or financial products: fixed deposits, index investments, plans (RRSP, RRIF, TFSA), mortgages and loans..ºExcellent interpersonal and customer-oriented skillsºStrong sense of organization and planningºInitiative, autonomy and excellent team spiritºWriting experience and communication skillsºBilingual, French / English (oral and written)ºGood knowledge of the Microsoft suiteAdditional InformationEquity, Diversity & Inclusion:We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible work environment that reflects the diversity of our customers and our communities.
