You will be responsible for supporting the day to day accounting operations, including but not limited to financial statement preparation, AP, purchasing, and sales tax. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting/Inventory. Duties and responsibilities as followsSupporting month-end closing activities, including journal entry preparation, general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliationsValidating and exporting financial statements and trial balances for management reviewSupporting monthly and quarterly sales tax returns and reconciliationsPreparing bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliationsEnsuring all payables are up to date, classified accurately, and booked in accordance with accounting standards. Recording and tracking vendor invoices, filing payment confirmations, and vendor payment notificationsPreparing monthly reports related to corporate credit card expendituresMaintaining vendor relationshipsPreparing purchase orders and track as necessary, order status, items in transit, items received, and items returnedProvide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.Resolving invoicing, delivery and quality issues related to purchasesAssist with the shipping process for all shipments including shipping options, vendors and customs clearanceCompiling purchasing data to assist with establishment of standard costsCoordinating with insurance provider for certificates of insurance COISpecial projects and requests from Senior ManagerAbout YouUndergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent is requiredWorking towards the CPA designation considered an assetA minimum of 1 year of related accounting experience, with US GAAP exposure preferredExperience with NetSuite and Avalara a strong assetIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skillsExcellent communication, time management, multi-tasking and prioritizing skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentSalary$50,000 – $60,000/yearHow to ApplyClick the “Apply Now” button and follow the instructions to submit your resume.
