Primary Function: Be part of our world class Inside Sales team covering customers coast to coast through our massive inventory, Keepstock Inventory Management, Effortless e-Commerce experience & our local branches across Canada. Main focus on small-medium businesses, selling value to key existing accounts and strategically growing share of wallet. We offer a robust training when joining and ongoing support to make you successful. Ability to partner/work cross-functionally with our Commercial Sales & National Accounts teams. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Manage an account portfolio of 200-300 small-medium size customers including National Accounts and contract customersDevelop sales plans/expand customer contacts that effectively market Grainger’s value proposition to drive profitable sales growth and maximize portfolio value.Develop and implement account penetration strategies to include regular business reviews for key customers to maximize salesDemonstrate knowledge of market data and access to resources to quickly respond to new developments in the customer’s businessEstablish customer and market priorities to execute a strategic course of action to accomplish sales goalsCall planning, executing a sales process and strategically using a CRMUtilize Sales Management System to understand customer needs and present cost-effective solution to increase customer spent and loyaltyDocument, analyze, and understand impact of customer focused activities to increase productivity and sales within assigned marketAdherence to company sales and pricing guidelines Preferred Education & Experience: 1-3 years customer service experience required, sales experience an asset A post-secondary education is preferredAbility to listen, gain trust and bring to closure an action, project, resolution or sales with customersClearly articulate business drivers, understand key financial and total cost of ownership concepts with all levels of the organizationBusiness acumen around sales forecasting, opportunity management and customer planningTechnological capabilities and understanding to communicate in today’s business environment, Salesforce experienceAbility to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns, and determine appropriate solutionsAbility to maintain a plan of action until desired results is achievedStrong process discipline, ability to align planning objectives with a pipeline development process to grow and develop market revenueKnowledge of Maintenance Repair & Operations (MRO) products and their applications an assetGrainger strives to be an employer of choice, to attract and retain top diverse talent, and to provide a safe and positive work environment for all of its team members.
