The ideal candidate will have an interest in design as well as field work. Their responsibilities will include preparing drawings, carrying out design, and obtaining clients’ approval, in order to successfully deliver projects.To learn more about our activities involving distribution system networks, consult this video.Primary Responsibilities Carry out site visits to determine what work needs to be doneCarry out field surveysDesign overhead and/or underground distribution networksPrepare drawings using AutoCAD softwareWork with geographical information systems (GIS) Carry out research on property rights and prepare easement requestsEstimate material quantity, workforce requirements, and costsObtain permits from all involved stakeholders (municipalities, ministries, etc.) Ensure permanent or occasional on-site work supervisionEnsure stringent monitoring of assigned projectsClosely work with clients Profile Knowledge of geographical information systems (GIS) – an assetKnowledge of public utilities’ distribution and/or telecommunication networksDiploma of college studies (DCS) in civil or electrical engineering or telecommunicationsKnowledge of AutoCAD software and Microsoft Office suiteAbility to work on various projects simultaneouslyClient care skillsAvailability and willingness to travel for the purpose of carrying out field surveysExcellent French communication skillsGood English communication skills (an asset)Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle CIMA+ needs you in the Lower Saint-Lawrence region CIMA+ is Canada’s largest private consulting engineering firm, with more than 30 offices from coast to coast. Our Rivière-du-Loup office, which is now the largest engineering office east of Quebec City, was among the first ones to open in 1993, whereas the Rimouski office has been serving clients in the Lower Saint-Lawrence region since 2007.
