More information can be found here .Bring your financial expertise and leadership skills to this unique opportunityAs a member of the Home and Community Care Analytics team, the Health Economist will support program and/or policy development through the development and delivery of economic and statistical studies, data analysis, and modelling. The Health Economist is involved in a wide range of analyses, from simple to complex, synthesizing, analyzing, and interpreting information, and communicating findings through various forums including working groups, committees, and briefings. Working in a team, typically with cross-Ministry involvement, this position undertakes analyses to support the Ministry’s business and strategic planning, and decision-making.The capital of British Columbia, Victoria is a beautiful city, with beautiful beaches and harbours, and a variety of provincial parks to explore. Relevant recent experience must include: Experience conducting economic and/or statistical analysis. Demonstrated experience in data analysis applications. Demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting the results of complex statistical and/or economic analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences; including preparing briefs and communications materials. Preference may be given to applicants with the following: 1 year or more of recent experience in health economics or health statistical analysis. Experience in programming for data extraction and statistical analysis (such as R, SAS, SQL) Experience in visual analytics (such as Tableau, PowerBI).
