Adecco is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Divisional Accountants in Slave Lake AB and High Level, AB to work at a globally known and well-established manufacturer and distributor of specialty forest products. This is a valuable growth opportunity for a CPA to work alongside an experienced accounting team in the sustainable and ever-evolving forestry sector. In this role, you will learn the business firsthand and provide context to the financials that you process. If you have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role and are knowledgeable in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (APSE), then this job is yours!Location: 2 Locations | Slave Lake AB and High Level, AB Shifts: Monday to Saturday | 10 AM- 6 PM Job type: Full-time | Permanent Relocation Assistance is providedDuties and Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial statements, annual budgets, while ensuring adherence to financial controls, procedures and systems relating to manufacturing operations including financial reporting and analysis Coordinate with the divisional accounting team and personnel from procurement, IT, divisional operations, maintenance and other office locations Collaborate with the external contacts including company auditors, government auditors, company suppliers and miscellaneous receivable customersRequirements and Qualifications: Completion of a two-year accounting diploma is required. Preference for an undergraduate degree or second level of a recognized accounting association program or equivalent industry experience a minimum 3 years of experience in a related role A completed CPA designation is a must Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (APSE) is needed Proficient in data entry, financial reporting, and account reconciliations Demonstrated knowledge of accounting functions: accounts payable, payroll, budgets, etc. Experience with accounting software (Empower or JD Edwards) Excellent computer skills with Excel proficiency and other MS office programs Proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities Proficiency in forward planning and project management Must be organized, able to prioritize various deadlines, and capable of building strong relationships with all levels of the organization Should be committed to continuous learning Must be legally eligible to work and reside in CanadaIf you are looking to take your career to new heights with this Divisional Accountant in Slave Lake AB or High Level, AB, apply now.
