Join our team, and help us create extraordinary events for our guests to remember!Why join our Team?Exhilarating and fun-loving cultureFlexible work hoursOpportunity for free or discounted tickets to shows, events, sports games, and much moreStaff discounts for Playland, The Fair, and Fright Nights, as well as all PNE Food StandsCompetitive compensation packageOpportunity to create lasting memories and friendships!What will you do this year?In your role as a Catering Server, your primary accountabilities will be to:Service of a variety of food and beverage to guests in banquet halls, concert, sporting events, and other special events.Greet and assist guests in a friendly and courteous manner.Assist with room and table set up and cleaning as required.Ensure complete guest satisfaction by providing exceptional service.Ensure work area and equipment is clean and organized at all times (i.e., wiping and washing counters, shelves, cupboards, machines, etc.).Ensure PNE Uniform and Appearance policy is adhered to at all times.Perform other related duties as required.What else?Must have 2-3 years of serving experience; previous catering experience considered an asset.Must have successful completion of Grade 12.Must have a valid Serving It Right (SIR) certificate.Must have previous billing and cash handling experience and be familiar with billing systems.Must have knowledge of serving techniques and proper serving etiquette.Must be able to work efficiently while standing for long periods of time.A Valid FoodSafe certificate considered an asset.Ability to hand complaints from guests and deal with them in a courteous and professional manner.Ability to foster effective working relationship with peers, subordinates and relevant external contacts.Ability to function with some independence and under pressure and ability to meet multiple service demands at the same time.Knowledge of the rules and regulations regarding the preparation and serving of food in a public place.Must be available to work a variety of shifts including evenings (as early as 4pm) and weekends.Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.Who are you?Customer-centricOut-goingSkillful communicatorProactiveOrganizedCommittedReliableWhere and when to APPLY?Applications can be submitted via the PNE website at www.pne.ca/jobs and will be accepted until the roles are filled.We look forward to hearing from you!The PNE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating an inclusive workforce that reflects the diverse community we proudly serve.
