With a strong history and a bright future, we continue on the quest to become the leading brokerage and consulting firm in Canada.Position SummaryAs the Benefits Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Analysts, Account Executives and Consulting Team in managing client accounts. Our approach is warm and our relationships are everything with these client groups.Essential DutiesCollaborate with service providers for the collection, analysis and interpretation of life, disability and health care data;Develop awareness of life, disability and health care plan design, cost factors and help prepare team members for the renewal process;Prepare renewals and experience reports using renewal and reporting tools;Coordinate with Gallagher Service Centre (GSC) in support of project deliverables;Analyze claims and utilization data and look for trends and patterns;Prepare benefits marketing material and compile data and results from insurer proposals;Prepare ad-hoc deliverables;Schedule kick-off meetings for renewals and experience reports;Liaise with service providers to ensure adherence to project deliverables;Other accountabilities to support the high functioning team you will be part of, as the need arises.What skills are important to be successful in this role?The ability to be detailed, analyze data and perform basic mathematical tasks;A Strong command of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint;Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Prioritizing and handling multiple tasks within deadlines;Working on a team and independently with minimal supervision makes you happy, as does developing Relationships with service vendors and clients.Do I have what it takes to be considered?Minimum 3 years of experience in a group benefits environmentBA/BS degree in math, statistics, economics, business, finance or liberal arts or commensurate experienceCEBS designation would be an assetConsider yourself an expert in the Microsoft Suite and can manage your Outlook inbox with easeMust be legally entitled to work in CanadaGallagher offers competitive salaries and benefits, including; health, dental, life and accident insurance, pension plan, employee stock purchase plan, educational expense reimbursement, employee assistance programs, opportunity for flexible work hours, and training programs.We are an equal opportunity employer which values diversity in the workplace and are therefore happy to accommodate any individual needs in keeping with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
