With a team of over 900 dedicated experts globally, we are committed to delivering trusted technical solutions to industries including mining, food, recycling, packaging, aggregate, and more.To learn more about Eriez Flotation, please visit: eriez.com/NA/EN/Flotation.About the OpportunityEriez Flotation has a full-time career opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Delta, BC on a hybrid work model.As our Mechanical Engineer, you will perform engineering calculations of process equipment and provide support for activities performed by the Engineering department.  This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:Performing design/engineering calculations of process equipment per applicable codes/standardsExecuting small and medium-sized projects from quotation to supply stageWorking within an established project scope of work, schedule, and budgetAssisting in preparing estimates of cost, material quantities, equipment weights, and project timelinePreparing purchase orders for fabrication and inspectionDirecting the preparation of drawings, bill of materials, and shipping volumesReviewing of P&ID drawings, loop diagrams, control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and instrument indexes.Checking, preparing, and assisting in required documentations, including data sheets, drawings, O&M manuals, compliance documents, and installation guidelinesPreparing instrumentation data sheets and catalogue cutsAssisting in preparing and evaluating vendor bids, vendor proposals, and purchase order draftsCoordinating with other discipline designers, engineers, shop personnel, other offices’ personnel, and customersVisiting vendors and project sites for conducting inspections, supervising installations, and inspecting equipment maintenance, as requiredAssisting sales staff as required, to solve customer technical problems, remotely and at customer siteInspecting instruments, valves pumps, and motors About You To qualify, you must have at least 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in flotation technology, manufacturing, and/or mining equipment industry.We also require a degree in Mechanical Engineering and eligibility for a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registration in BC.In addition, you must have the knowledge, skills, or experience in the following:API 650 and ASME B31.3 CodesNozzlePRO and Pipe-FLO softwareInventor, Vault Pro, or Solidworks softwareP&ID, PLC/HMIProcess control and implementationField experience (asset)Moreover, you will be joining us with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the outstanding ability to work well with a variety of people in a diverse team environment. As an experienced engineer with a strong attention to detail and a proven record of meeting deadlines, this is a rewarding opportunity.
