Manufacturing Engineer

We are currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the leading supplier of lightweight solutions for the transportation industry. This is an immediate opportunity to work with a company that is recognized by every automotive OEM in the world.
The ideal candidate is responsible for providing the organization with all facets of manufacturing including equipment, tools, building and instructions to meet customer requirements.

Job Description:
•Ability to purchase new equipment and oversee the acquisition and installation in addition to ensuring products are delivered on time
•Liaise with customers on a first-hand basis and coordinate work to ensure project completion is on time
•Scheduling and attending internal (APQP) and external (supplier/integrator) meetings.
•Plan, approve and complete layouts for machining and assembly cells
•Communicate with plant team members to achieve efficient processes and complete reports as required
•Provide ongoing support and continuous improvements to the manufacturing group by implementing new technologies, enhancing layout and material handling
•Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and systems

Job Requirements:
•Bachelor Degree/Technical Diploma in Engineering
•7+ year’s as a Manufacturing Engineer in the automotive industry
•Project Management experience and designation (PMP) is an asset
•Knowledge of Engineering Code of Ethics
•Strong troubleshooting experience, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical knowledge
•Understanding of Allen Bradley/Siemens control systems
•Excellent team leadership, communication and time management skills
•Ability to understand blueprints, costings and value analyses
•Understands OH&S Act and Regulations
