Our client, a leader in the integrated energy services, is looking to fill a permanent Plant Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the two plants. Hands-on experience in the area of Plant Operations, Safety, Quality Control, Human Resources, Financials and Marketing are essential for the role. Related industry experience is an advantage.
Full-time, permanent employment
Salary: Negotiable (depending on experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the two plants;
Material usage standard and controls; Introduce cost-saving measures
Supports the establishment, implementation, maintenance and enforcement of the HSE system, making sure that objectives and targets set out in the policy and personal objectives are met
Leadership and commitment to the Quality Management System, ensuring it conforms to ISO 9001 requirements
Ensuring customer satisfaction
Manages a working team comprised of production employees, yard, maintenance, HSE, QC, purchasing, shipping/receiving personnel
Close contact with Human Resources in order to comply with the Collective Bargaining Agreement
Improve the operation systems, and processes
Manages annual budgets
Approving day-to-day processing of purchases
Creating reports for management
Deals with sales personnel; continuous involvement in the delivery, pricing and specifications
3 to 5 years proven work experience as a plant manager in a similar industry, with proven managerial experience (in a unionized environment will be considered an asset)
Proven management work record of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, and inventory processes
Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
Knowledge of continuous improvement work practices and influential capacities
Ability to adapt in a complex work environment
Experienced in managing multiple plants
2 year Diploma in pertinent field or equivalent experience
