You are an experienced Electrical Designer with knowledge in power design, lighting and basic control systems. We are looking for someone who has done detailed design/drafting work. If you have experience only in drafting, we also want to hear from you!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Prepare Certificates of Compliance for electrical equipment
•Design of Power, Lighting and basic control systems
•Cable tray design – plan and elevations
•Heat tracing calculations
•Cable System Block diagrams
•Preparation of Data Sheets and Material take-offs
•Motor control design
•Single Line Diagram development
•Review of technical specifications and selection of electrical equipment and material
•Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Technology Program
•Professional affiliation: R.E.T., P. Tech. – ASET
•Over 5 years of experience in Oil and Gas Electrical Engineering
•Knowledge of Hazardous Area Classification development
•Good understanding of low and medium voltage distribution systems, switch gear and motor control
•Strong degree of familiarity with CSA standards – C22.1 of the Canadian Electrical Code Part 1
•Familiarity with IEC Standards an asset
•Plant fabrication experience would be an asset
•Proficient knowledge of industry best practices
•Proven ability to produce high quality work while facing competing priorities and strict deadlines
