Highrise Construction Superintendent
We are seeking an experienced high rise Superintendent for a well established Developer client of ours in the Vancouver area. This position would oversee an iconic high rise build.
Responsibilities:
-Assuming overall responsibility for all on-site construction activities
-Leading and directing all field personnel on the project
-Maintaining constant communications with Senior Management, Consultants, Inspectors and all applicable officials related to the ongoing construction of the project
-Ensuring all work is performed by contractors and suppliers to contract documents (including drawings, specifications and contract scopes of work)
-Reviewing all project plans, specifications, applicable documentation and report any omissions or discrepancies directly to the Construction Manager
-Reviewing and maintaining the construction schedule and ensure that all contractors and suppliers comply with the critical dates they are required to meet
-Taking full responsibility to ensure that all Municipal Inspections, Professional Inspections, Occupancy Permits and possession dates have been achieved to the satisfaction of the Construction Manager
-Assuming direct responsibility to ensure the quality of construction, products and finishing are of superior quality.
-Enforcing and monitoring the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Work Safe BC regulations to ensure a safe job site.
-Understanding thoroughly our clients Construction Health and Safety Plan and execute its requirements
-Responding to emergencies on the site in the off hours
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Concrete residential construction required
-Minimum of 5+ years construction experience in a supervisory or management capacity
