Location: Nova Scotia
Type: Permanent
Salary: $80,000-$100,000 (plus bonus)
What you will be doing…
-Ensuring quality control and quality assurance of cement produced
-Setting the direction of QA and QC continuous improvement initiatives
-Interfacing with raw materials suppliers to ensure specifications are met
-Providing technical support to Laboratory Technicians and Process Operators
-Participating in the development of forecasts in regards to manufacturing efficiencies, costs and profits, and for reviewing plant operating performances
-Providing technical support to Sales Representatives
-Monitoring the process performance of the plant and defining corrective actions along with Maintenance, Production, and Quality departments
-Ensuring production of product meets quality and production demands
-Defining an audit plan and supervising audits to detect irregularities and find areas of improvement
-Developing and implementing optimization plans
-Creating training and improvement initiates in order to meet both short term and long term goals of the facility
What you bring…
-A degree in Chemical Engineering
-Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes
-Experience in process improvement and quality control
-Strong leadership skills
